Christmas on Florida’s Historic Coast

Make your Christmas merry and bright with special events to celebrate the season.

The Christmas season on Florida's Historic Coast begins with the glow of Nights of Lights. White lights shine from the sidewalks to the rooftops, over the Bridge of Lions and through about 20 blocks of St. Augustine's Historic District. More than 3 million lights make it one of the top holiday light displays in the world.

Beyond the lights, the season is packed with traditions. Watch Santa arrive at the St. Augustine Christmas Parade, follow the torchlight procession of Colonial Night Watch, or see lighted boats on Matanzas Bay at the Holiday Regatta of Lights. The St. Augustine Lighthouse & Maritime Museum hosts Luminary Night and Lighthouse Illuminations. At Mission Nombre de Dios, Las Posadas and a Live Nativity celebrate the reason for the season.

Head beyond downtown for small-town charm at the Hastings Hometown Christmas Parade and Holiday Experience. The Palm Valley Boat Parade lights up the Intracoastal in Ponte Vedra Beach. Concerts, holiday teas and one-of-a-kind shopping in St. Augustine and Ponte Vedra Beach round out the season. Browse the events below to plan your merry and bright holiday getaway.
