Fourth of July Weekend Shuttle Service

St. Johns County offers a free shuttle service to the St. Johns County Ocean and Fishing Pier from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, July 2, through Monday, July 4, weather permitting. The St. Johns County Ocean and Fishing Pier shuttle will transport beach visitors between St. Augustine Beach City Hall, 2200 A1A South, and the Pier parking lot, which provides direct access to Pier amenities and the beach. The shuttles will run every 20 minutes, with the final shuttles departing at 4 p.m. Service updates are provided via the Reach the Beach mobile app, the Beaches Twitter feed, and Facebook page.

Can you swim at St. Augustine Beach?

Yes, you can swim at St. Augustine Beach as long as you are not within 400 feet of the St. Johns County Ocean Fishing Pier. From Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day Weekend, you will find lifeguards stationed along the shore for your safety.

Are dogs allowed on the beach?

Yes, dogs are allowed on St. Augustine Beach as long as they are on a leash. Please be sure to clean up after your pet. Since dogs can get overheated, you may wish to bring along an umbrella, or shade structure, plus plenty of drinking water for your pup. Nearby pet friendly dining options include Salt Life Food Shack and Sunset Grille.
