Who's Onstage?

The amphitheater was built in 1965 to commemorate the 400th anniversary of St. Augustine, the nation’s oldest permanent European settlement. In the mid 2000s, it was refurbished. The new facility includes a conference room, four concession stands, a merchandise area, a large plaza and an arboretum of walking trails.

The St. Augustine Amphitheatre, a.k.a. The AMP, is a 16-acre outdoor amphitheater located just across the Intracoastal Waterway from St. Augustine.

As a performing arts venue that can hold just under 5,000 concertgoers, the St. Augustine Amphitheatre plays host to big-name musical acts. Local Performers

The St. Augustine Amphitheatre provides more than the big stage for entertainment. Throughout the year, depending on weather, guests can enjoy local bands at the Front Porch, located near the entrance to The AMP, and smaller concerts in the Backyard. Both are casual, fun venues where guests can mingle and dance to tunes. Look for concerts scheduled during Sing Out Loud in September.

St. Augustine Amphitheatre Farmers Market & Night Market

If you’re in the market for fresh produce, baked goods, hand-crafted items and plants, head to the amphitheater any Saturday from 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. for the St. Augustine Amphitheatre Farmers Market.

Taking place from 5-9 p.m. on select Tuesdays, the Night Market is a local favorite, featuring handmade arts, crafts, and goods along with a variety of local food trucks, a full bar, and live music!

Nearby: Anastasia State Park

At nearby Anastasia State Park, which fronts both the Intracoastal Waterway and the Atlantic Ocean, visitors can camp, picnic, lounge on the beach, swim, kayak, canoe, fish, walk nature trails or visit an archaeological site (it’s where coquina was mined to build Castillo de San Marcos). A concession in the park rents bikes, canoes, sailboards, paddleboards and kayaks.
