Overview
Florida Before Flagler presents Northeast Florida before Henry Flagler’s railways and resort hotels transformed the region. Photographed by Hugo Meyer during the 1870s and 1880s, these images capture the people, streetscapes, and natural beauty of St. Augustine, Palatka, and surrounding communities on the cusp of dramatic change. Lightner Museum is open from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. daily and tickets are $20 for adults, $17 for seniors, students and military, and $13 ages 12-17, under 11 are free. 75 King St., St. Augustine. www.lightnermuseum.org
