Spanish Food & Wine Festival

It’s all about Spanish wine, cuisine and culture in the Nation’s oldest city.

If you’re going to celebrate Spanish culture, there’s no better place to do it than in St. Augustine. With a history that dates back to its founding by Don Pedro Menendez de Aviles in 1565 and the arrival of its first Spanish settlers, the ancient city today continues to attract foodies, history buffs and cultural enthusiasts of all things Spanish. The St. Augustine Spanish Food & Wine Festival is the perfect opportunity to enjoy them all with wine, tapas and spirits.

The festival is a weekend of special events where visitors and the St. Augustine community share memorable experiences over food and wine while raising money for local education. The beneficiary is the Hospitality & Tourism Management Program at Flagler College, named for the father of Florida tourism, Henry Morrison Flagler. Students design, plan and execute every aspect of the festival, and 100% of proceeds support their education through scholarships, study-abroad experiences and professional development.

Tapas, Wine & Spirits

February 18, 2027 | 6-8 p.m. | Lightner Museum-Radzinski Family Garden, 75 King Street
Experience a vibrant evening of Spanish-inspired cuisine and beverages in the heart of downtown St. Augustine. Guests enjoy gourmet tapas crafted by local chefs, paired with a selection of authentic Spanish wines and spirits.

Cava Reception & Wine Pairing Dinner

February 19, 2027 | 6-10 p.m. | Flagler College - Solarium & Rotunda, 74 King Street
Join an elegant evening featuring a five-course Spanish menu crafted by local celebrity Chef Michael Lugo, paired with exceptional wines from Chief Winemaker Alejandro López of Beronia Rioja. The evening begins with a Cava Reception in the historic Ponce de Leon Rotunda, followed by fine dining and music in the exclusive Flagler Room and Solarium.

Grand Tasting

February 20, 2027 | 2-5 p.m. | Flagler College - Markland House, 102 King Street
Experience an afternoon of Spanish wine, food and music set against the historic backdrop of Flagler College’s Markland House. Guests sample more than 100 Spanish wines served by Flagler College Hospitality and Tourism Management students and wine professionals, with Carrera Wine Cellar on hand to help guests purchase favorite bottles to take home.

Enhance your Grand Tasting with optional upgrades. The VIP Private Selection Tasting, presented by VIVA Hospitality, provides access to an exclusive lounge at the Crisp-Ellert Art Museum (48 Sevilla Street) from 2-5 p.m., featuring top-shelf Spanish wine pours and chef-crafted bites. Wine Education Seminars at 12:30 p.m. in the Ringhaver Student Center (50 Sevilla Street) offer instructor-led tastings of four to five Spanish wines paired with artisan charcuterie, plus early access to the Grand Tasting. Seminars are limited and must be purchased with a Grand Tasting ticket.
