Overview
Expand your bourbon knowledge during the Whiskey University Series, a two-part educational experience designed for women who want to deepen their appreciation of America's native spirit. Bourbon 201 explores the history and origins of whiskey and bourbon while introducing the "ABC's of Bourbon," including aging, barrels, mash bills, proof, and tasting techniques. Participants will enjoy guided tastings featuring flagship and premium bourbons from some of Kentucky's most celebrated distilleries while learning how regional styles and production methods influence flavor profiles. Light bites provided by Julep Palm Valley. Led by whiskey educators Jill Thomas Aviles and Kim Barnette, the series offers a welcoming environment for both beginners and seasoned bourbon enthusiasts to explore, learn, and connect. Part 1 takes place on June 20 from noon-2 p.m., with Part 2 scheduled for September 12. Registration is required for each session separately. The event is open to guests ages 21 and older. Tickets are $35 for members and $50 for non-members. 154 Canal Blvd., Ponte Vedra Beach. www.bourbonwomen.org
