Overview
Strengthen your compositions in this two-day painting foundations workshop with award-winning St. Augustine artist Gail Beveridge. Day one focuses on composition through shape and value, with a look at how modern and contemporary artists use design elements, an overview of essential painting materials and techniques, and a monochromatic value study. Day two dives into color theory, exploring value, hue, and how color relationships create depth and atmosphere, with a demonstration followed by individualized guidance as participants work on their own paintings. The workshop wraps up with a group walkthrough and critique. This workshop is open to artists of all skill levels but recommended for those with some painting experience.
