Overview
The St. Augustine Easter Week Festival will host the Royal Transfer of Office for 2025. Since 1959, the St. Augustine Royal Family has promoted the City of St. Augustine by portraying the Spanish Royal Trio of King Carlos II, Queen Marianna and Princess Margarita Maria. This Royal Trio was in reign and decreed the Castillo de San Marcos to be built to defend and protect the town. Each year, this event is celebrated in St. Augustine and commemorating this Royal Trio by choosing three heritage natives to portray them. These individuals represent St. Augustine throughout the year in various events. The ceremony takes place at 6 p.m. at the St. Augustine Cathedral Basilica West Courtyard., 38 Cathedral Place, St. Augustine. www.oldestcityeaster.org
