Discover a lesser-known chapter of the American Revolution as Dr. Roger Smith explores the story of prisoners of war held in British St. Augustine from 1775 to 1781. Learn why the first captured revolutionaries from Virginia were sent to St. Augustine, and look beyond the well-known signers of the Declaration of Independence to uncover the experiences of more than 2,000 soldiers and sailors who spent the war imprisoned or on parole in the city.
