As the nation marks its semiquincentennial, the Lightner Museum and the First Coast Plein Air Painters highlight Northeast Florida’s enduring role in America’s story. In the late nineteenth century, the First Coast attracted painters from across the country, drawn by its landscapes, architecture, and light. "A Moment in Time: America 250" is a juried exhibition featuring new works by member artists, offering a contemporary perspective on a landscape that has inspired generations. Lightner Museum is open from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. daily and tickets are $20 for adults, $17 for seniors, students and military, and $13 ages 12-17, under 11 are free. 75 King St., St. Augustine. www.lightnermuseum.org
