Overview
Built in 1691 during the first Spanish period in St. Augustine, the Father Miguel O’Reilly House Museum is located south of the Plaza. The Museum has three main themes: the story of the house, which was constructed in 1691; the Catholic tradition in St. Augustine, which began on September 8, 1565; and the Sisters of St. Joseph who have been guardians on the O’Reilly House and educators in St. Augustine since 1866. The Museum is open Wednesdays – Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission is free.
