St. Augustine, Fla. (March 19, 2026) – Aspiring and novice outdoor photographers can learn from industry professionals at Florida’s Photo Fest, April 22-26. The festival offers nearly 100 photography seminars and field workshops led by renowned photography experts and nature guides, suitable for beginners to advanced photographers and nature enthusiasts.
The 2026 festival is based at St. Jude Celebration Hall at Saint Anastasia on St. Augustine Beach. With ample free parking, the meeting facility is ideal for educational workshops. Classroom seminars cover various topics, including creative processes, Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom, composition, printing, and flash techniques. Participants can learn about various equipment, from mobile phones to professional setups. Outdoor sessions pair hands-on photography with instructor-led education, covering techniques, strategies, equipment choices, wildlife identification, processing, and more. New courses this year include “Capture the St. Augustine Lighthouse,” “Push That Background,” “Wildlife and Wildflowers,” and “Stop Being Afraid of Lightroom Classic.”
Florida’s Historic Coast’s landscape takes centerstage during the festival’s on-location workshops. The St. Augustine Alligator Farm Zoological Park is home to one of the country’s most impressive coastal bird rookeries; it is also the only place in the world where visitors can see 24 species of living crocodilians. The festival’s popular Photographing Horses on the Beach excursion will take place at Frank Butler Park East on St. Augustine Beach, one of Florida’s Historic Coast’s pristine beaches. Other notable locations include the St. Augustine Lighthouse Maritime Museum, Marineland Rock Beach, Flagler College, Fort Mose Historic State Park, and GTM Research Reserve. Shutterbugs can also take to the water for sunrise and sunset boat tours to photograph birds, dolphins and more.
One of this year’s keynote speakers is travel and nature photographer, Rob Knight. Knight’s presentation, “Opening Up,” is a personal reflection on more than 25 years behind the camera, sharing how his creative journey has required opening up in unexpected ways: navigating personal loss and family change, adapting to a constantly evolving photography industry, responding to the needs of clients and students, and even embracing work in industries he never imagined entering.
