St. Augustine, Fla. (April 29, 2022)– May is an exciting time to visit St. Augustine, Ponte Vedra & The Beaches. Especially this year.
The fun begins with the St. Augustine Food + Wine Festival, presented by Publix + GreenWise Market taking place May 4 - 8, 2022 at the World Golf Village.
Recognized as “One of Florida’s Top 10 Food & Wine Festivals” by USA Today, this flavorful festival is a celebration of culinary, beverage, culture and music that highlights celebrity guest chefs and local chefs. Celebrity winemakers/proprietors, beverage experts, artisans, farmers, local craft spirits and beers are also showcased. Chef Cat Cora will be the lead at the Winemaker's Dinner on Thursday, May 5th which features a curated six-course meal made by local chefs and paired with celebrity wines. There is a full weekend of culinary events planned, from wine dinners and tasting events, to master classes and more. Saturday, May 7- 1 – 4 p.m. St. Augustine Food + Wine Festival Main Event and The Hall of Fame VIP Lounge at the World Golf Village
Sunday, May 8 - Mother’s Day Jazz Brunch with seating at 10 and 11:30 a.m., and 1 p.m.

In addition to the St. Augustine Food + Wine Festival, St. Augustine will host Unidos en la Musica: A Latin American Festival on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at St. Francis Field in St. Augustine.
This exciting event celebrates Latin culture with live music, food, dance and fun features some of the best international, local and regional musical groups including headliners Grupo Niche joined by Baba Caiman, Fiusha Funk from Mexico & Los Ineditos del Vallenato on the main stage. Papayera la Arenosa from Colombia will be performing throughout the day in pop up style performances. And World Champion Salsa dancers Emily and Raul along with Romi & Alex will be teaching Salsa/Bachata workshops and performing their championship routine, while Spirit of Samba and CBP Capoeira will bring an electric show from Brazil that you won't forget.
What Latin Festival is complete without food? Authentic Latin American food trucks and vendors are held to the highest standards for flavor, service, authenticity and country diversity with each vendor offering a new and exciting Latin American experience. Ticket prices are $10 general admission (early bird online) $15 at the door/ $60 VIP.
Along with the great food and amazing culture taking place in and around St. Augustine in May, University of Florida Historic St. Augustine, Inc will present the St. Augustine History Festival May 11-15. This festival will showcase every era of St. Augustine’s long and storied past through the 21 special events and historic venues, from the city’s founding in 1565 to the most advanced technology available today to research and study every year in-between.
The festival’s featured events include presentations about historic artifacts found in the old city; medical history, new art gallery and exhibit openings, and talks about colonial history and preservation; each led by respected historians and researchers from universities and organizations from around the state. There will even be historic reenactments and demonstrations. Admission to each event is free.
Festival goers can download a St. Augustine History Festival Passport to help them navigate the presentation times and location. Admission to each program is free and open to the public.
