Explore the exhibition Kendra Frorup: "Roots, Return, and the Weight of Memory" at the Crisp-Ellert Art Museum. The exhibition features mixed-media assemblages and sculptures inspired by Frorup’s Afro-Caribbean heritage and her upbringing in The Bahamas. Using materials such as coconut crowns, found objects, metal, concrete, and printmaking, the work examines themes of home, migration, and the balance between leadership and care, reflecting an ongoing exploration of Caribbean material culture and diasporic identity.
