Celebrate Women’s History Month with Maiden, presented by the St. Augustine Film Society and sponsored by June and Howard Entman. The film chronicles how Tracy Edwards, a 24-year-old charter boat cook, became skipper of the first all-female crew to compete in the 1989 Whitbread Round the World Race. After discovering the boat abandoned in 2014, she crowdfunded its rescue and restoration, launching The Maiden Factor to support girls’ education worldwide.
