Robert Cray, a five-time Grammy winner, has spent five decades shaping blues and soul with his unmistakable sound. Since its debut in 2022, the Fort Mose Jazz & Blues Series has welcomed visitors to learn, reflect and celebrate within a site of profound national importance. In 2025, efforts led by the Fort Mose Historical Society resulted in the construction of a representation of the original fort—helping guests better understand what daily life might have looked like for the men, women and children who sought freedom here nearly 300 years ago.
