Overview
A St. Augustine native who grew up during the Civil Rights Movement, Irwin Brunson was among the first Black children to be integrated into an all-white school alongside his siblings and neighbors. Those life experiences helped shape the man and artist he is today.
Through his artwork, Irwin expresses emotion, perspective, and creativity while sharing his unique artistic voice with the community.
Guests are invited to meet the artist in person and experience his inspiring collection of artwork, which will be on exhibit all weekend at La Casa. Original artwork will also be available for purchase.
