USO PAL Day

Florida’s Historic Coast is proud of those who have served and continue to serve our country. And we’re showing it.
The celebration of USO PAL Day has been a tradition in St. Augustine since 1957 when the event was created to show appreciation for those who serve in the military. Members of the military and their families are invited to St. Augustine each year to enjoy free admission to some of the best attractions in the nation’s oldest city.
Approximately 700 military members and their families joined in previous year’s events and the number grows each year. The special day also includes a luncheon at the Elks Lodge and is hosted by the USO. The USO promotes this annual event to over 350,000 active and retired military personnel. Military bases include, but are not limited to, NAS Jax, Mayport Coast Guard sector, Mayport Naval Base, Kings Bay Naval Base, Blount Island Command, Cecil Field, and the National Guards.
St. Augustine attractions and community have been supporting and honoring our Active Duty service members, their families, as well as Former or Retired service members and their families on this very special day. In 2022, USO PAL Day is scheduled for Saturday, December 3, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., with a free meal provided by the Elks Lodge on A1A South, St. Augustine from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
