There’s so much to see and do on Florida’s Historic Coast during Nights of Lights. And while it’s all lights and twinkling outside, there’s even more to dazzle you inside. From chorus and jazz concerts to ballets and acrobatic performances, there are as many ways to celebrate the season as there are lights on the tree. Here are some of our favorite holiday performances the whole family can enjoy (check individual links for specific show times and tickets).

December 3 – December 23 – A Christmas Story at the Limelight Theatre

Take a trip down memory lane with Ralphie, his Red Ryder BB gun, the school bully and the lamp leg with fishnet stocking in this Christmas classic based on Jean Shepherd’s work.

December 4 – Under the Streetlight “Hip to the Holidays” at Ponte Vedra Concert Hall

Kick off the season with a song. Celebrate with a joyous performance of your favorite holiday tunes plus songs from the American Radio Songbook.

December 4 & 5 – The Dance Company’s St. Augustine Winter Spectacular!

Over 100 performers including ballerinas, tap dancers, acrobats in an entertaining holiday storyline in this original production at the Lewis Auditorium.

December 8 – A Peter White Christmas at Ponte Vedra Concert Hall

An extraordinary and world-renowned acoustic guitarist, Peter White, is joined by saxophonist Mindi Abair and jazz musician Vincent Ingala.

December 11 – We Need a Little Christmas Holiday Concert

The St. Augustine Community Chorus welcomes the season with performances of old standards, selections from The Messiah and other holiday favorites at the Cathedral Basilica of St. Augustine.

December 12 - UNF School of Music and Friends of Ponte Vedra Concert Hall presents Hope & Anticipation

Join the UNF Choral Ensembles in singing in the season with uplifting Christmas carols, including Benjamin Britten’s Ceremony of Carols, and Charpentier’s Messe de Minuit. Featuring Sachiko Frampton, keyboard, Lawson Ensemble and Friends, and student soloists.

December 15 – EMMA Concert Association Presents Holiday Pops Concert

Everybody loves the Holiday Pops Concert. The Gainesville Symphony Orchestra performs at this favorite annual event at Lewis Auditorium at Flagler College.

December 15 - Sounds of the Season with the St. Augustine Orchestra

The 60th Anniversary of the St. Augustine Orchestra, Sounds of the Season features Holiday favorites; Sleigh Ride, Frosty the Snowman, Music from FROZEN, Carol of the Bells, Charlie Brown Christmas, Sleigh Ride, T'was the Night Before Christmas with special guest, narrator Lee Weaver and more. The performance is at 8 p.m. in the Lightner Museum pool area.

December 16 – 19 – Apex Theatre Presents Frozen Jr. at Ponte Vedra Concert Hall

Based on the 2018 Broadway musical, the show features all of the memorable songs from the animated film plus new songs written for the Broadway production.

December 18 & 19 – St. Augustine Ballet Presents The Nutcracker

The Sugar Plum Fairy, the Mouse King, Clara, Uncle Drosselmeyer and all the Nutcracker characters return in this timeless classic featuring professional ballet dancers and students at Lewis Auditorium.

December 18 – January 2, 2022 – Venardos Circus at The Amp

Enjoy world-class circus acts in a Broadway musical-style format created by former Ringling Bros. Ringmaster Kevin Venardos. Special performance times on Christmas and New Years Eve/Day.

December 19 – One Good Ring Christmas Jam at Tringali Barn

Celebrate the season with live music, dinner and drinks, all benefitting a great cause, Her Song, an organization working to interrupt the cycle of human trafficking while leading women to freedom.

December 26 – January 6, 2022 – Sing We Now of Christmas: St. Anastasia Catholic Church Celebrates 12 Days of Christmas

Concerts, dance performances, sacred liturgies and more events throughout the 12 days of Christmas. Most are free events. Check the link for specific events, times and admission prices.

December 31 – Verdi’s La Traviata Presented by First Coast Opera

One of the most iconic, romantic and tragic scores of all time will be presented fully staged with orchestra by First Coast Opera. Enjoy this Verdi classic at Lewis Auditorium.
