Juneteenth: A Celebration of Freedom
Celebrate Juneteenth on Florida’s Historic Coast
Juneteenth is a day to celebrate the end of slavery and honor the progress made in the ongoing fight for equality. St. Augustine holds a unique place in Black history as one of the earliest settlements for freed African Americans and a significant site in the Civil Rights Movement. Throughout the month of June, special events, concerts, and exhibitions will highlight the contributions of those who shaped our community and helped move the nation forward.
