Fishing Tournaments on Florida’s Historic Coast

Florida’s Historic Coast is surrounded by water. From ocean to bays and rivers to creeks, no wonder it’s such a lure for anglers of all kinds.
Some just like to cast their line in the peaceful waters from a kayak. Others are far more adventurous and love the idea of a challenge, especially when their efforts are rewarded with prizes or trophies or just bragging rights. If that’s more your speed, take note.
The Ancient City Challenge Tournaments are coming up and will be here before you know it. This four-day tournament from July 13-15 has been a true celebration of fishing in our pristine waters for the past two decades and promises to be a fun experience for the whole family. Most proceeds from the event support local charities and offshore restoration efforts.
Join the Ancient City Game Fish Association for one of Northeast Florida’s premier fishing tournaments. The weekend events start with Kids Night on Thursday, Junior Angler Tournament on Friday and the Kingfish Offshore Visual Checkout on Saturday and Sunday. Pack your rods and see you at Camachee Cove Yacht Harbor in St. Augustine.
Can’t wait for July? Get your Kingfish fix at the St. Augustine Kingfish Mayhem June 1 to June 3 or the Old School Kingfish Shootout on June 9 through June 11 both in Vilano Beach. All are welcome to compete, regardless of budget or boat size.
