If you haven’t been to
Vilano Beach, here’s your chance to discover everything this hidden gem has to offer. From pristine beaches for sunning, surfing and skimboarding, to retro motels and new state-of-the-art hotels boasting stunning views, restaurants and amenities, Vilano Beach is a little paradise just 10 minutes from historic downtown St. Augustine.
Just up the road about six miles north on the Scenic A1A Highway another hidden gem awaits at the GTM Reserve, a national estuarine research reserve, whose research and education experts will provide guided tours and interactive experiences with sea turtles and alligators and other wildlife that thrive in its 11,000 acres of preservation land.
Of course every trip to Vilano Beach starts at the Vilano Beach Pier where visitors get to greet and take selfies with the Bluebird of Happiness. Located on the river side of the Matanzas, it’s arguably one of the best spots to watch the sunset over downtown St. Augustine. And what better spot to serve as the focal point for this spectacular weekend event?
