Alpine Groves Park

Overview

Set on a bluff overlooking the majestic St. Johns River, Alpine Groves Park offers butterfly gardens, a playground, picnic area, wooded trails, a fishing dock and a canoe and kayak launch.

This 54-acre park encompasses a partially restored house and grounds of a late 19th century homestead with a citrus grove in the midst of live oaks and giant magnolia trees.

Alpine Groves Park is managed by St. Johns County and is open every day, from dawn until dusk. Educational field trips and talks may be arranged by contacting the Park Naturalist at 904-209-0348.
