On May 6, we are all Latinos. And there’s no better place to share the joy and spirit of the Latin American culture than with some of the best international, local and regional musical groups around, such as the Grammy Award-Winning legendary salsa band from Colombia, Grupo Niche.
On May 6, 2023 we are all Latinos. And there’s no better way to share the joy and spirit of the Latin American culture than with some of the best international, local and regional musical groups around, Grammy Award-Winning Artist Elvis Crespo. This exciting headliner at Unidos en la Musica will be joined by rising artist Zara Marko from Columbia, A Flor de Piel from Chicago, Papayera la Arenosa and St. Augustine’s own, the popular Baba Caiman.
It will be difficult--if not impossible--to keep your feet from dancing to Latin rock, salsa, cumbia, vallenato, modern and folklore music. So, go ahead and join world champion salsa dancers Emily and Raul who will be performing as well as hosting Salsa and Bachata Workshops for all attendees. Zumba with La Rumba Radio Host Liliana Sanchez, who will be guest MC along with Ellio Piedra from Tu Fiesta Radio Gainesville.
In addition, folklore performances by Spirit of Samba, CBP Capoeria, Ballet Folklorio Azteca, Venezuela Danza y Tambor, Viva Panama USA, ENZ Entertainment and Peru Dance plus more will be dancing throughout the day as they bring to life the cultural diversity of Latin America. DJ Alekz Vibrations and DJ Jhon will do all they can to keep the party going all day long.
Of course, there will be all kinds of authentic Latin American food provided by 14 food trucks offering authentic Latin cuisine and over 75 vendors offering a diverse and exciting Latin American experience. And our family- friendly event includes many activities for children including games and sports from soccer to baseball clinics and Aztec ball games. A mural contest, where you could actually win a painting, rounds out the cultural events. But there’s so much more.
