Veterans Day Ceremony

Overview

This year, we honor those who served in the "Global War On Terrorism." The shock and anger following the 9/11 attacks paralleled the response to Pearl Harbor sixty years earlier, leading to a global conflict. Just as in previous generations, millions of Americans, including many from Florida, volunteered to defend their nation. While World War II in the 20th century ended relatively quickly, the 21st-century war on terrorism spanned over two decades. We take special pride in the dedication of these volunteers.
