What You Need To Know

The St. Augustine Orchestra will kick off its 57th season with two performances of Symphonic Triptych. A triptych is a set of three associated musical, literary or artistic works intended to be appreciated together. Maestro Scott Gregg has chosen three European and Scandinavian composers of the Romantic and Victorian era, including Antonin Dvorak, Gioachino Rossini and Jean Sibelius. The orchestra will play Dvorak's Symphony #8 in G Major; Simiramide Overture by Rossini and Valse Triste by Sibelius. The Friday performance is at 8 p.m. at the Lightner Museum, 25 Granada St. in St. Augustine. The Saturday performance is at 1 p.m. at St. Jean Paul II Catholic Church, 127 Stone Mason Way in Ponte Vedra Beach. Tickets are $22 for adults and $12 for youth ages 11-17.
