Overview
Experience an evening of art, culture, and connection as artist Mai Ueda presents a live performance and Japanese Tea Ceremony. Ueda’s multidisciplinary work spans performance, drawing, poetry, and installation. Since 2012, she has explored “non-material” mediums that honor her Japanese heritage, centering her practice on the timeless tradition of the Tea Ceremony. Through this ritual, Ueda invites guests to share knowledge, emotion, and mindfulness — creating a moment of collective awareness and presence. The event begins at 6:30 p.m. and is free and open to the public. 50 Sevilla St., St. Augustine. www.flagler.edu/news-events/news/crisp-ellert-art-museum-welcomes-japanese-artist-mai-ueda
