Overview
The St. Johns Cultural Council and Gamble Rogers Music Festival present a concert series honoring the legacy of legendary St. Augustine performer Gamble Rogers. This month's performance features John Paul White with Hadley Parrish-Cotton. John Paul White's album "The Hurting Kind" draws from 1960s Nashville orchestration but maintains a modern touch in its exploration of love, relationships, and memories. White's journey from small-town Tennessee to his current home in Alabama has shaped his two-decade music career, including his Grammy-winning work with The Civil Wars. Embracing the diversity of his fanbase, he's unafraid and thrilled if "The Hurting Kind" is called country, reflecting his evolving artistry.
Doors at 6:30 p.m.; show starts at 7. Ticket prices are $20. 184 San Marco Ave., St. Augustine. 904-808-7330 www.gamblerogersfest.org
