What You Need To Know

Fort Matanzas National Monument invites the public to a special junior ranger program featuring our endangered species. This program is recommended for youth ages 4-10, but all ages are welcome. This educational storytelling about sea turtles that nest along the east coast of Florida will be presented inside the visitor center from 10 a.m.-noon. National Park Service volunteer Bonnie Eger will read a children story with activities to encourage young minds to develop an interest in preservation and protection of our environment and the animals that inhabit our planet. Join us during for an educational and fun-filled activity. Bring a picnic lunch and enjoy our shaded picnic area under majestic Live oak trees at the park. Walk the park trails or visit the fort on a free ferry ride to Fort Matanzas.
