Overview
I'm Still Here, directed by Walter Salles, is a powerful political drama set during Brazil’s military dictatorship (1964–1985). Based on a true story, the film follows Eunice Paiva (Fernanda Torres), a mother of five whose life is shattered when her husband, former congressman Rubens Paiva (Selton Mello), is abducted by military forces in 1971. The film won the Academy Award for Best Foreign Film in 2025 and earned a Best Actress nomination for Torres. Screening is from 7–10 p.m. at The Waterworks.
