Christone "Kingfish" Ingram, recognized as the blues genre's future, is set to return to Fort Mose for the 2024 series. Since bursting onto the music scene in 2019, Ingram's unfiltered and emotionally charged guitar performances have not only garnered him a Grammy but also secured 10 Blues Music Awards. Fort Mose Historic State Park host the 3rd annual Fort Mose Jazz & Blues Series from February 8 to February 17. To honor the history and celebrate the cultural significance of Fort Mose, the Fort Mose Jazz & Blues Series will be comprised of five unforgettable performances over two weeks in February from some of the biggest names in their respective genres.
Proceeds of this series will support the construction of an on-site fort representation and development of additional interpretive resources. The original fort was destroyed during the Battle of Bloody Mose in 1740.
