What You Need To Know

For those interested in history, archaeology and shipwrecks, including the 1715 Fleet, this conference is for you. The conference features international speakers, including several archaeologists from Cuba. The event begins on Wednesday at 5 p.m. with a Welcoming Reception at the Virginia Room at Flagler College. On Thursday and Friday, the conference is from 8:45 a.m.-4:30 p.m. at the Gamache-Koger Theater at Flagler College. There will be a reception on Thursday at 7 p.m. at the St. Augustine Pirate and Treasure Museum as well as a reception on Friday at 5:30 p.m. at the St. Augustine Historical Society. On Saturday, there will be a membership meeting from 8:30 a.m.-noon at the St. Augustine Art Association and dinner at 5 p.m. at the Flagler College Solarium. The cost to attend the two-day conference and receptions is $250. The cost to attend for one day is $125. The cost for the Saturday dinner is $100. Reduced rates are available for 1715 Fleet Society members.
