Hosted by the St. Augustine Film Society and Compassionate St. Augustine, this event features a free screening of the movie 13th, an Oscar-nominated documentary, followed by a panel discussion. The film is about the 13th Amendment of the Constitution, which abolished slavery in 1865, except as punishment for a crime. The film explores this last part of the 13th Amendment and looks at the United States prison system. The event, part of the Golden Way Project: Films that Make a Difference, begins at 6:30 p.m. at St. Paul AME Church.
