We’re ramping up the Spring season in 2021 with events that leverage sunshiny days and cool evenings. There’s something for everyone. Take a look.
1. St. Augustine Art and Craft Festival
March 13 & 14
At St. Augustine Art and Craft Festival, a favorite Spring festival, visitors can find handmade treasures from ceramics and stained glass to photography, soaps, and more while taking in the fresh sea air at the St. Johns County Ocean Pier Park. Saturday 10-5 p.m. and Sunday 10-4 p.m. Admission is free.
2. St. Augustine Spring Fling
March 20 & 21
This St. Augustine Spring Fling, it’s all happening at the St. Johns County Fairgrounds in Elkton from 9-5 p.m. Saturday and 10-4 p.m. Sunday. There’s live music (Battle of the Bands), food, arts & crafts, classic cars, a petting zoo, and a Biergarten. Admission $10 per vehicle.
3. 2021 Flower & Garden Expo
March 27 & 28
If you love flowers and all things garden, the 2021 Flower & Garden Expo is the one for which you’ve been waiting. A popular event in NE Florida, the expo attracts growers, nurseries, and artisans from around the state. Shoppers will find a wide array of horticulture including olive trees, aquatic plants, herbs, ferns, succulents, citrus, colorful flowering plants, butterfly plants, native plants plus gardening accessories and art. Saturday 9-5 p.m., Sunday 10-3 p.m. Admission is $5 per person, valid for both days of the Expo, children free.
4. St. Augustine Race Week
April 17 – April 24
Enjoy eight days of fast, fun, and friendly sailing events including performance offshore racing, river racing, a youth regatta, bayfront racing, Dragon Boats, and more at St. Augustine Race Week. You can watch the regatta action along the Bayfront, from the Castillo de San Marcos to The Bridge of Lions, yacht races will take place on the Tolomato River, north of the Vilano Bridge and others outside the St. Augustine Inlet.
5. Riding Into History™ Motorcycle Concours
Like speed? Riding Into History™ Motorcycle Concours, one of America's premier motorcycle events, returns to World Golf Village. This year, it’s a celebration of brilliant British bikes with Grand Marshal Wayne Carini of Chasing Classic Cars. There will be hundreds of classic British motorcycles to view along the Village's Walk of Champions. Vendors, exhibitors and entertainment will be onsite. Admission is $15 at the gate, opening at 10 a.m.
6. Roscolusa Songwriters Festival
Hear songwriters from Nashville perform and share the stories behind their songs together with local food trucks, vendors, and a Kids Corner at Roscolusa Songwriters Festival. From 5-10 p.m., gates open at 4 p.m. at Nocatee. Admission is $10. VIP tickets are available for $100.
7. Taste of St. Augustine
Attention, foodies! Don’t miss the classic Taste of St. Augustine food festival at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre where the area’s best restaurants will offer samples of their signature dishes from 11-5 p.m. Restaurants will compete for the prestigious TOStA (Taste of St. Augustine) awards, and everyone gets to vote. Also included are a children’s area with crafts and face-painting, and live music throughout the day. Admission is $5, taste tickets are $1 each with restaurants charging between 1-5 tickets per taste. Bring your appetite!
8. ProWatercross National Tour
May 1 & 2
The Liqui ProWatercross National Tour makes a two-day stop in St. Augustine with each day featuring more than six hours of action off the coast of the Atlantic Ocean. The excitement of the entire course is visible from the shore of Vilano Beach! Starts Saturday 9:15 a.m. with practice runs and racing into the evening. Sunday, the racing starts at 8:45 a.m. Admission is free.
9. Flight to Freedom
May 6 – 8
Witness the story of the journey of freedom seekers beginning from 1687 through 1763 at the Flight to Freedom. Learn about Spanish, African and Native American food traditions and culture from guest speakers and demonstrators. Musket and cannon demonstrations by the Fort Mose militia. Tours plus military and culinary demonstrations from 9-3 p.m. daily. Event admission is free.
10. St. Augustine Food + Wine Festival
May 6 – May 9
The inaugural St. Augustine Food + Wine Festival showcases some of the southeast's leading local chefs, guest celebrity chefs, and hundreds of beverage tastings, along with live music. Enjoy this culinary weekend celebration with chefs, winemakers and beverage experts in spirits and beers, for adults 21 and over only. The weekend closes out with a spectacular, family-friendly Mother’s Day, Sunday Jazz Brunch at the World Golf Renaissance Resort.
11. St. Augustine Craft Brewer’s Fest 2021
If you like craft brews, St. Augustine Craft Brewer’s Fest 2021 is the festival for you. Visit the Fountain of Youth Archaeological Park and get a taste of them all. From 1-5 p.m. (general admission tickets); noon-1 p.m. (early admission VIP ticket holders). General admission is $40 in advance and $45 the day of the event. A limited number of VIP tickets at $100 each will be available in advance.
12. 31st Annual Tour de Forts Classic
31st Annual Tour de Forts Classic is a one-day event designed for all road cyclists. Ride through history past the Castillo de San Marcos to Fort Matanzas. The longer routes offer a ride through farmlands, the Palatka-to-St. Augustine State Trail and along the St. Johns River. Five distances are available: 26, 40, 55, 70 and 100 miles. The club will provide pre-ride snacks, rest stops stocked with food, water and Gatorade, marked routes, maps, mechanical support, SAGs, motorcycle safety escorts and a post-ride lunch. The event begins at the St. Johns County Fairgrounds, and packet pick-up is available at 7:30 a.m. Registration ranges from $60-$75.
