We’re ramping up the Spring season in 2021 with events that leverage sunshiny days and cool evenings. There’s something for everyone. Take a look.
1. As If! North Florida 90s Fest
Break out the bright Starter jackets and fanny packs and get ready to party like its 1996. This family-oriented summer kickoff party is dedicated to the decade that was ALL THAT and a Bag of Chips! Celebrate the first weekend of summer with a full action-packed, one-day event including music, games, slime zone, a Lisa Frank selfie station, food trucks, and more. The event takes place at Francis Field, 25 W. Castillo Dr., St. Augustine. Tickets are $15. Children under 5 are free and children ages 5-13 are $5
2. 15th Annual Bartram Bash
Celebrate 200 years of history, memories, and community at the annual Bartram Bash from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Experts and historians will be on hand, hosting a variety of exciting events that tell the fascinating history of William Bartram and the Switzerland, FL area.
3. Art in the Park
From 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. , stroll through Lakeside Park at St. Augustine Beach where Artists will be selling original art, jewelry, pottery, stained glass and more! Enjoy music performed by Davis Loose and the Loose Cannons.
4. 31st Annual Tour de Forts Classic
31st Annual Tour de Forts Classic is a one-day event designed for all road cyclists. Ride through history past the Castillo de San Marcos to Fort Matanzas. The longer routes offer a ride through farmlands, the Palatka-to-St. Augustine State Trail and along the St. Johns River. Five distances are available: 26, 40, 55, 70 and 100 miles. The club will provide pre-ride snacks, rest stops stocked with food, water and Gatorade, marked routes, maps, mechanical support, SAGs, motorcycle safety escorts and a post-ride lunch. The event begins at the St. Johns County Fairgrounds, and packet pick-up is available at 7:30 a.m. Registration ranges from $60-$75.
5. Music by the Sea Free Concerts
May 26 - September 29
This free weekly concert series at the St. Johns County Ocean Pier features a wide variety of musical genres from 7-9 p.m. Bring a beach chair or blanket along with a favorite beverage and get ready to dance. Starting at 6 p.m., dinner is offered as an option for concert goers. All dinners are priced at $10 or less.
6. Drive-in Laser Light Show
May 27 - 30
Bring your own chairs and blankets and refreshments to the St. Johns County Fairgrounds for a mind blowing, family friendly laser show accompanied by your favorite Musical Hits from Current Pop to Classic Rock.
4. Sunset Dolphin Walks
June 1 & 2
Join Park Naturalist Kelly Ussia for a sunset walk on Vilano Beach to learn about dolphins from 7-8 p.m. at Vilano Beach.
5. Concerts in the Plaza
June 3 - September 2
Returning for its 30th season in 2021, this popular weekly event falls into a tradition shared by many communities: enjoying a concert in the town square on a summer night. Free and open to the public, residents and visitors alike can enjoy great entertainment in a great place together every Thursday between Memorial Day and Labor Day from 7-9 p.m. Often called "the best way to spend a Thursday night in St. Augustine.
6. Living History Saunter
Join living history interpreters from the Historic Florida Militia as they present a timeline of St. Augustine's colonial history from noon-4 p.m. The interpreters answer questions related to St. Augustine's history and pose for pictures.
