Several events make up the Florida Heritage Book Festival.

Featured Authors

A full schedule of workshops led by featured authors is the main event of each year’s festival. The series of author talks feature writers from a variety of genres. If you’re into fiction, you may have some tough decisions to make about which author presentations to attend. The same problem arises with nonfiction. There are event sessions for poetry lovers. Featured authors presentations promise to delight book lovers and provide inspiration for aspiring authors.

Festival Marketplace

Dozens of vendors make up the open marketplace where you’ll find booksellers, book binders, literary agencies, printers, editors, retailers, publishers and more. The Festival Marketplace offers opportunities for published authors and other vendors to interact with readers and buyers. Hourly drawings and signings by the Featured Authors keep the Marketplace filled to capacity.

Writer’s Conference

A major part of the Florida Heritage Book Festival is the Writers Conference, which attracts well over one hundred writers from all over the southeast. They come to learn, to be inspired, and to network with other writers.

Literary Legends Awards Banquet

Each year the Florida Heritage Book Festival honors at least one acclaimed author with ties to the Sunshine State. The highlight of the festival, the Literary Legends Awards Banquet is a tradition that has seen some of Florida’s most acclaimed writers accept their awards in person and enthrall audiences with remarks about their legendary careers.

The Florida Heritage Book Festival is a community-based nonprofit organization that depends on donations and support. Funds raised go to the St. Johns County Public Library system and the St. Augustine Record’s Media in Education program. For more information visit FHBookFest.com
