Nights of Lights
St. Augustine’s Nights of Lights is one of the top holiday lighting displays in the world, according to National Geographic magazine. After sunset, more than 3 million white lights illuminate the historic district, including the former Ponce de Leon Hotel (now Flagler College) and the Hotel Alcazar (now the Lightner Museum and City Hall). Experience the holiday glow on foot, by open-air trolley or on a romantic carriage ride. Festivities take place throughout the historic district, the St. Augustine Lighthouse and St. Augustine Beach from mid-November through the end of January.
Florida’s Birding & Photo Fest
Each spring nature lovers can study the area’s wildlife habitats while photography buffs can improve techniques for capturing images during the Annual Florida’s Birding & Photo Fest. Birders and photographers observe and photograph avian species that call the area home. Nature enthusiasts can enjoy bird walks, kayak and boat tours, and photography workshops.
Fireworks Over Matanzas
The annual fireworks display over Matanzas Bay in the St. Augustine historic district draws thousands of patriotic revelers each year.
