THE PLAYERS Championship Brings Golf’s Greatest Players to Ponte Vedra Beach

This world class professional sporting event makes for an inexpensive and entertaining day for families.

THE PLAYERS Championship May 8 – 13 is a world-class sporting event at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, that attracts hundreds of thousands of fans each year, especially families, and here’s why.
THE PLAYERS is Family-Friendly!
Where else can a family attend a professional sporting event for as little as $20? At THE PLAYERS that’s where.

An adult one-day Stadium pass to THE PLAYERS (age 18+) ranges from $20 to $70. Youth 18 and younger are admitted free of charge when accompanied by a ticketed adult - and there is no limit to the number of children you bring.

This means an adult can take 3 children (although there is no limit) to THE PLAYERS for the day for as low as $20) and get free parking on Tuesday and Wednesday.  Fans with four or more guests in a vehicle can park for free Thursday through Sunday with the “Four for Free” parking voucher. Stadium Passes grant access to more than 19 on-site public venues; local food and beverage options; rope-side access to your favorite players, kids zone and much more.

Compare the cost of a day for mom or mad to take the kids to THE PLAYERS to the cost for a trip to the movies or a local attraction:

  • The cost of a day at THE PLAYERS for one adult (age 18 and up) and two children is as low as $20.
  • The cost of a movie for an adult (age 12+) and two children (11 and under) is about $23.00
  • The cost for an adult ticket and two tickets for kids under age 11 for the Jacksonville Zoo is $49.85

And in addition to the price there’s even more about THE PLAYERS that makes it a great event for families.

The Family Plan and Free Parking

The Family Plan package offers additional savings and benefits for families seeking a day at THE PLAYERS. Families get two adult Stadium Passes, unlimited youth admission at the gate and two $10 concession vouchers. The Family Plan is $120 for Thursday and Sunday, $130 for Friday and $140 for Saturday (taxes not included). The Family Plan is offered at 28 participating Daily’s convenience stores and at

Parking passes are additional, but remember that any car with four or more passengers parks for free under THE PLAYERS “Four for Free.”

On Tuesday and Wednesday, as in previous years, fans can still park for free in the general parking lot and no parking pass is required. The McKenzie Noelle Wilson Foundation Kid Zone
The McKenzie Noelle Wilson Foundation Kid Zone is an interactive destination for kids and families attending. The Kid Zone features an enclosed air conditioned area, restroom trailer, videoboards, shaded area and more. This is not a daycare area, as parents are required to stay with their children, but it allows parents the ability to take a break and relax in the shade while the kids have fun.

Autograph Zones
Autographs are not allowed on course during practice days and tournament competition days.  THE PLAYERS has designated “Autograph Zones” to allow fans the opportunity to meet their favorite players and get their signature. PGA TOUR players have been asked to spend time in the two designated autograph zones before and/or after play to sign autographs for fans. These zones allow more interaction between players and fans.

There are two autograph zones located on the course:

  • Main player practice grounds/driving range
  • Scoring area behind 18 green

The autograph zones are marked with signage for fans and players and are also listed on the course map. There is a “kid corner” within the autograph zones designated specifically for youth. These areas allow youth the opportunity to get close to their favorite players for a signature.

The Family Care Suite Presented by Baptist Health
The Family Care Suite Presented by Baptist Health is a new initiative for THE PLAYERS Championship in 2018.  As part of Baptist’s program as the on-site provider of medical services, the Family Care Suite will extend their services to attendees of THE PLAYERS with the venue serving as a skin screening center for healthy skin and also a comfort station for mothers to nurse their babies and have a private, comfortable venue as needed during tournament week.

Bring your own snacks!
THE PLAYERS allows fans to bring in their own food in a 1 gallon clear, plastic bag where food items are also wrapped in clear wrap. This policy does not allow fans to bring in beverages.

Filtered drinking water is available multiple locations; so keep that bottle and refill it as many times as you’d like as a way to stay hydrated and save money at THE PLAYERS.
