More Than Fireworks Entertain July 4 on Florida's Historic Coast

The annual fireworks display over Matanzas Bay in the St. Augustine historic district draws thousands of patriotic revelers each year. But before Florida’s Historic Coast lights up the sky, there are plenty of other ways to enjoy yourself on July 4 in St. Augustine, Ponte Vedra and the Beaches.

Let’s start with the sparkle!

The 4th of July Concert & Fireworks in St. Augustine starts at 6 p.m. with the All Star Orchestra performing in the Plaza de la Constitucion.  At 9:30 p.m., one of the largest fireworks displays on the East Coast bursts above the ancient Castillo de San Marcos and reflects in the waters of Matanzas Bay.  Admission is free with the best vantage points along the bay front between the Castillo and the Bridge of Lions.  www.CityStAug.com/Fireworks.

World Golf Village celebrates Independence Day on July 3 with its annual Community Fireworks—one of the largest displays in Northeast Florida - beginning at 9:30 p.m.. Dinner and a Movie packages are available before the fireworks. One World Golf Pl., St. Augustine. 904-940-4123
