Enjoy Fourth of July Fireworks on Florida's Historic Coast

The fireworks display over Matanzas Bay in St. Augustine draws thousands of patriotic revelers each year.

But before Florida’s Historic Coast lights up the sky, there are plenty of other ways to enjoy yourself on July 4th in St. Augustine, Ponte Vedra and the Beaches.

Let’s start with the sparkle!

The 4th of July Concert & Fireworks in St. Augustine starts at 6 p.m. with the All Star Orchestra performing in the Plaza de la Constitucion. At 9:30 p.m., one of the largest fireworks displays on the East Coast bursts above the ancient Castillo de San Marcos and reflects in the waters of Matanzas Bay. Admission is free, and the best viewing spots are along the bayfront between the Castillo and the Bridge of Lions. For more information, visit www.CityStAug.com/Fireworks.

You'll get a great view of the fireworks from the top of the St. Augustine Lighthouse. On July 4, the event begins at 9 p.m. Guests are asked to arrive by 8:45 p.m. to check in. A limited number of tickets are available online and are $40 for adults and $35 for youth ages 12 and under. Call 904-829-0745 for more information.

World Golf Village celebrates Independence Day on July 3 with its annual Community Fireworks — one of the largest displays in Northeast Florida — beginning around 9:20 p.m. "Dinner and a Movie" packages are available before the fireworks. For more information, call 904-940-4123 or visit www.worldgolfvillage.com.
