Castillo de San Marcos and Fort Matanzas National Park Centennial Celebrations
The National Park Service this year celebrates its 100th anniversary. The U.S has over 400 national parks; a remarkable representation of America’s natural and historical legacy. And no national parks are more historic than the Castillo de San Marcos and Fort Matanzas in St. Augustine.
The Castillo de San Marcos and Fort Matanzas were designated national monuments in 1924. In addition to visiting these national monuments, you can celebrate the 100th anniversary of the National Parks by taking part in any of a series of exhibits and scheduled events.
