Tony Joe White Performs at the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall
Tony Joe White is in his seventh decade of creating music. Beginning on the cotton farm in Louisiana, Tony Joe White learned to play his father's guitar by ear. On his latest album, entitled "Hoodoo," White continues to produce an ethereal, authentic bayou guitar trance. Awash in danger, spiritual uncertainty, and environmental fury, the album's lyrical concerns are matched by a particularly intense strain of White's trademark swamp funk. Doors open 7 p.m.; show starts 8 p.m. Admission is $43.50 first 6 rows; $38.50 all remaining rows.
