Jake Shimabukuro Performs at the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall
The Ponte Vedra Concert Hall warmly welcomes the return of ukulele virtuoso and composer Jake Shimabukuro, who comes from the process of mixing island and outside influences that are both modern and historical. He's combined the qualities of a long line of virtuoso ukulele players with modern rock musicians to create a sound that's uniquely his own but still firmly grounded in Hawaiian tradition. Born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii, Jake's life has always centered on the ukulele. He started playing at the age of four, urged by his mother who also played. Doors open at 7 p.m.; show starts at 8 p.m. Admission is $53 reserved seating for first 11 rows; $43 reserved seating for all remaining rows.
