Iconic Image of Feminism and Racial Equality Displayed at Plum Gallery
In the 1970s, a photo of Gloria Steinem and Dorothy Pitman Hughes standing shoulder to shoulder with their fists raised was taken by photographer Dan Wynn and has represented feminism and racial equality throughout the past four decades. Recently, the photo was recreated by Dan Bagan, a St. Augustine photographer, showing the women in the same pose at the ages of 75 and 80. The signed recreated photo is available to see at Plum Gallery from 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Admission is free.
