Flight to Freedom
Flight to Freedom shares the story of the thousands of people who traveled South to flee enslavement on the British indigo and sugar plantations in South Carolina during the mid-17th century to the beginning of the 18th century. Learn about their flight to freedom journey to St. Augustine, and walk with them on the Freedom Trail, which was the first Underground Railroad. The event is from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at Fort Mose State Park. Admission into the event is free. General admission into the museum is $2.
