Citizen Cope at the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall
The Ponte Vedra Concert Hall proudly welcomes the return of soulful singer-songwriter and producer Citizen Cope. Creating a soulful blend of folk-R&B with laid-back reggaefied beats and the occasional hip-hop flourish, Citizen Cope's roots are complex and dug deep into the rich soil of American music. He was born Clarence Greenwood, a child of the 1970s, and his life journey is as singular as his art. He is the radically mashed-up product of Greenville, Mississippi; Memphis, Tennessee; Vernon, Texas; Austin, Texas; Washington, DC; and Brooklyn, New York. These locations are felt everywhere in his stories. His sounds are southern rural, big sky lonely, concrete urban, and painfully romantic. Doors open at 7 p.m.; performance at 8 p.m. Admission is $44.50 and $39.50.
