St. Augustine’s and Ponte Vedra’s beaches provide visitors with ample opportunities to explore. Each has a distinct feel, from the natural beauty found in the lagoons of Anastasia Island’s wide beaches at Anastasia State Park to the towering dunes and shell-laden shores of Ponte Vedra Beach. Today, Henry Flagler’s former Alcazar Hotel is the home of the magnificent Lightner Museum and its world-class collection of late 19th century Americana. Although the museum now has the hushed atmosphere of a library, in its heyday as the Alcazar it was far from quiet.
